Step 1
|
The corners of the 1st layer When all the corners are processed, your cube will look like this:
With movements 1, 1', 2 or 2' place a first corner with a white side on the first layer. If necessary, rotate the cube around the vertical axis.
|
Case a
the white side of the corner is on the left in front of you
|
Case b
the white side of the corner is on the right in front of you
|
|
Step 2
|
The centers of the 2nd layer When all the centers are processed, your cube will look like this:
The sequence used is always the same, it exchanges the front center with the bottom center, the left and right centers are also exchanged.
In all cases, you must observe the opposite colors, they must correspond to the green - blue couple or the orange - red couple.
The idea is: case 1: always go down a poorly placed center, starting with those whose opposite centers do not correspond. case 2: always put a center other than the yellow in its place. |
Case 1a
the yellow side is below
The colors of the opposite centers are not respected You must move down one of the poorly placed centers and therefore place it in front of you before applying the algorithm.
Colors concerned in our case: green or red.
You will find yourself in case 2
|
Case 1b
the yellow side is below
The colors of the opposite centers are respected but reversed You must move down one of the poorly placed centers and therefore place it in front of you before applying the algorithm.
Colors concerned in our case: all.
You will find yourself in case 2
|
Case 2a
the yellow side is on one side
The colors of the opposite transverse centers are not respected or the color of the center at the back is correct You must move up the center of the face below and therefore rotate the cube in order to have the same color of the corners in front of you. before applying the algorithm
Do the same with the other colors until you find yourself in case 1 or have solved the Skewb.
Order of colors: green -> red -> orange -> blue
|
Case 2b
the yellow side is on one side
The colors of the opposite transverse centers are respected (but reversed) and the color of the center at the back is correct You must move up the center of the face below and therefore rotate the cube in order to have the same color of the corners in front of you. before applying the algorithm
You will see that the opposite transverse centers will be placed automatically.
|
|
Step 3
|
The corners of the 3rd layer When all the corners are processed, your cube will look like this:
|
Case a
2 corners are correctly oriented
Search among the 2 others for the one whose yellow side will appear on the right in front of you, then apply the algorithm:
After orienting the Skewb correctly, you then find yourself in case b.
|
Case b
No corners are correctly oriented
Place the 2 corners on the left with the yellow faces visible on the side, then apply the algorithm:
You have solved the Skewb.
