The Megaminx 2x2 conventions

The movements:

They are noted in English because it is the international convention.

This is a movement of 72° when looking at the layer concerned.

The following examples show rotation clockwise and then counterclockwise.

Examples:

Left and right movements therefore seem reversed
Right layer at the front

'R' or 'r' for Right
Left layer at the front

'L' or 'l' for Left
Top layer

'U' for Up
Bottom layer

'd' for Down
Front layer

'F' for Front
Back layer

'bb' for Back Back
Right rear layer

'BR' or 'br' for Back Right
Left back layer

'BL' or 'bl' for Back Left
