The Mastermorphix Steps

The Mastermorphix will be solved layer by layer, and the algorithms are derived from those of the 3x3x3.

Step 1

The 1st Layer

When the layer is fully solved, your cube will look like this:

No specific algorithm.

The placement of the pieces should remain intuitive.

Here are the main steps:

The Centers

The Edges

The Corners

Step 1 bis

The Centers of the 2nd Layer

You must ensure that all centers are correctly oriented; if so, everything is fine.

Otherwise, you have 3 cases for each incorrectly oriented center.

Place the centers to be oriented as shown opposite.

When all centers are correctly oriented, your cube will look like this:

Half turn

Quarter turn counterclockwise

Quarter turn clockwise

Step 2

Edges of the 2nd layer

When all edges have been treated, your cube will look like this:

Case a
(1st layer edge)

The red edge is on the 3rd layer to the right

The algorithm allows you to place it on the 2nd layer.

Case b
(edge 1st series)

The red edge is on the 3rd layer opposite

The algorithm allows you to place it on the 2nd layer.

Case c
(edge 1st series)

The red edge is placed on the 2nd layer and incorrectly oriented

The algorithm allows you to move it down to the 3rd layer.

You can then apply the algorithm from case a to place it back on the 2nd layer with the correct orientation.

Case a
(edge 2nd series)

The blue/yellow edge is on the 3rd layer to the right

The algorithm allows it to be placed on the 2nd layer.

Case b
(edge 2nd series)

The blue/yellow edge is on the 3rd layer opposite

The algorithm allows it to be placed on the 2nd layer.

Case c
(edge 2nd series)

The blue/yellow edge is placed on the 2nd layer and incorrectly oriented

The algorithm allows it to be moved down to the 3rd layer.

You can then apply the algorithm from case a to place it back on the 2nd layer with the correct orientation.

Step 3.1

Orienting the edges of the 3rd layer

When all the edges have been processed, your cube will look like this:

Case a

The edges already oriented are side by side

The algorithm will orient the Front/Right edges and place them respectively in Back/Front.

Case b

The edges already oriented are opposite each other

This formula will orient the Left/Right edges and place them respectively in Front/Right.

Case c

No oriented edges

The algorithm will orient the Left/Right edges and place them respectively in Back/Left.

You can then apply the algorithm for case a to orient the Front/Right edges.

Step 3.2

Placement of the 3rd layer edges

When all the edges have been processed, your cube will look like this:

Case a

The edges already placed (1st set) are side by side

The algorithm will place the Left/Front edges.

Case b

The edges already placed are opposite each other

This formula will place the Front/Back edges in their respective Back/Left positions.

You can then apply the algorithm for case a to place the Left/Front edges (1st set).

Case a

The edges already placed (1st and 2nd sets) are: side by side

The algorithm will place the Left/Front edges.

Case b

The edges already placed are: opposite

This formula will place the Front/Back edges in their respective Back/Left positions.

You can then apply the algorithm from case a to place the Left/Front edges (1st and 2nd sets).

Case a

The edges already placed (2nd set) are: side by side

The algorithm will place the Left/Front edges.

Case b

The edges already placed are: Opposite

This formula will place the Front/Back edges in their respective Back/Left positions.

You can then apply the algorithm from case a to place the Left/Front edges (2nd set).

Step 4

The corners of the 3rd layer

When all the corners have been processed, your cube will look like this:

Placing the corners
(mix of 1st and 2nd sets)

The algorithm will swap the corners (except the one in front of you on the right) clockwise.

Depending on your setup, you should apply the algorithm a maximum of 2 times!

The orientation of the corners can vary. What matters is the placement. 114|||Orienting the Corners

Orienter les coins
(1st set only)

The algorithm will allow you to orient the two rightmost corners upwards.

Depending on your setup, you should apply the algorithm a maximum of 2 times!

Remember to orient your cube correctly to avoid performing the algorithm more than necessary, i.e., not necessarily with the 3rd layer at the top.

Positioning the Corners
(1st set only)

The algorithm will swap the corners (except the one in front of you on the right) clockwise.

Depending on your setup, you should apply the algorithm a maximum of 2 times!

The orientation of the corners can vary. What matters is the placement. 124|||Orienting the Corners

Orienter les coins
(mix of 1st and 2nd sets)

The algorithm will allow you to orient the two rightmost corners upwards.

Depending on your setup, you should apply the algorithm a maximum of 2 times!

Remember to orient your cube correctly so as not to perform the algorithm more than necessary, i.e., not necessarily with the 3rd layer at the top.

Step 5

The Center of the Third Layer

When the center is correctly oriented, your cube will look like this:

Turn Over

Your Mastermorphix is solved.
