Step 1
The 1st layer When the layer is fully processed, your cube will look like this:
No particular algorithm.
The placement of pieces must remain intuitive.
Here are the main steps:
The centers
For centers, it is possible to draw inspiration from step 7
The edges
The corners
Step 2
The edges of the 2nd layer When all the edges have been processed, your cube will look like this:
Case a The green/red edge is
on the 4th layer on the right
The algorithm allows it to be placed on the 2nd layer.
Case b The green/red edge is
on the 4th layer opposite
The algorithm allows it to be placed on the 2nd layer.
Case c The green/red edge is
placed on the 3rd layer and poorly oriented
The algorithm allows it to be lowered to the 4th layer.
You can then apply the algorithm from case a.
Step 3
The central edges of the 4th layer This step does not exist for even-dimensional cubes
Step 4
The corners of the 4th layer When all the corners have been processed, your cube will look like this:
Place the corners The algorithm will swap the corners (except the one in front of you on the right) in a clockwise direction.
Depending on your configuration, you should apply the algorithm 2 times maximum!!!
Corner orientation may vary. What matters is the location.
(The 3 colors of each corner must correspond to the 3 theoretical faces of the corner)
Orient the corners The algorithm will allow you to orient the 2 corners of your right upwards.
Depending on your configuration, you should apply the algorithm 2 times maximum!!!
Remember to orient your cube correctly so as to avoid performing the algorithm more than necessary, that is to say not necessarily the 4th layer at the top.
Step 5
The edges of the 4th layer When all the edges have been processed, your cube will look like this:
(returned cube)
Note: if an edge is incorrectly placed on the 4th layer, you will have to apply one of the 2 algorithms to raise it on the 3rd layer.
Case a To move the right edge of the 3rd layer to the left edge of the 4th layer
Case b To move the left edge of the 3rd layer to the right edge of the 4th layer.
Step 6
The edges of the 3rd layer When all the edges have been processed, your cube will look like this:
The algorithm allows you to permute the edges of the 3rd layer clockwise except the edge at the bottom left.
In this example, the blue/orange edge of the 3rd layer will not move.
Depending on your configuration, you should apply the algorithm 2 times maximum!!!
Step 7
The centers When all the centers have been processed, your cube will look like this:
Be smart!!!
Avoid leaving one color on the opposite side, otherwise you will have to do the algorithm twice!
Try as much as possible to place 2 colors each time.
